You may be wondering exactly what “photo tithing” is? Well, it’s actually a core belief of the Wedding Photographic Society that we all improve by looking at, dissecting and hearing about the hows & whys a shot was taken.
WPS members are all highly encouraged to submit a photo, and add both the technical data (f stop, shutter, iso, camera, lens, lighting, location) as well as the why the shot is important (beautiful moment, re-creation of a shot her mom has, etc). This not only lets others see your work & talent, it allows them to grow & be influenced by it. The more we all share, the higher the proverbial photographic bar raises for everyone.
To submit a photo for tithing, all you need to do is e-mail it with all the above information to: submissions@weddingphotographicsociety.com and one of the core group will get it posted on the blog.
You can also request we show it at one of our bi-monthly meetings in Raleigh or other locations.
