The WPS board members were our first ever convention speakers covering a wide range of topics and also holding shooting seminars – both are coming back at this years convention (plus a heck of a lot more)!

Chris Perez, spoke about mastering the power of light (which is his secret super power)

Brian Mullins, gave away some fun freebies during his session

Stacey Borrelli, Martha Manning and Robin Lin answer some questions during a lunch time q&a.

Martha Manning, spoke to everyone about how to connect with your clients, she did a great job connecting with all of the convention goers.

Everyone collected some great “swag” from the sponsors, and at the end of it all there was a great party and a delicious camera shaped cake.

Its official, Neil van Niekerk will be speaking at  this years convention.
We are so excited to have Neil joining us for our second annual WPS Convention this year.  He is a very talented, internationally known photographer specializing in weddings, portraiture and boudoir photography. Neil is based in Wayne, NJ from where he maintains the Tangents Blog, teaches workshops, gives seminars and has written two books on flash photography. He is a busy guy, but he has made time to join us and share a little of what he knows. Be sure to visit Neil’s website to find out more about him and what he does.

The WPS board members also shared a “Sneak Peek” preview of the WPS Convention page. It is not live yet, but will be soon, be sure to look out for it. If you have not already registered on the WPS Forum you should, its FREE and it will keep you up to date on all the latest news regarding the convention.

The Wedding Photographic Society board is proud and honored to announce the 1st annual wedding photographers convention to be held in RTP, just outside Raleigh, NC.  The convention will feature an immersive photographic experience with 5 working wedding photographers speaking on diverse topics including marketing, lighting and packaging, leader led photography sessions that will have each photographer giving “lens lessons” and teaching the how’s & why’s of their shooting style, mentoring sessions and a industry wide party.

As with all photography conventions, there will be multiple opportunities to network, work and talk with many talented photographers from around the country outside of the scheduled seminars!  This is a wonderful and unique opportunity to unleash your inner artist and pick up new influences and techniques.
